How To Hang Curtains With Different Headings

Pencil pleat is one of the simplest, most versatile of curtain headings. It works well with print, plains and most different textures.

How to set up:

  1. Tie the cord at one end
  2. Measure the window before gathering to make sure that each side of the curtain is equal and meet in the middle of the window once they are hung.
  3. Pull the cord evenly and gently so that the pleats will be nice and straight.
  4. Insert the hooks
  5. Hang the curtains up

Eyelet curtains and grommet curtains have an even number of holes that are attached to the curtain track.

They are generally very easy to hang. You simply insert each of the eyelet rings into the pole evenly.

Tips: the edge of the curtains faces towards the window or door.

Rod pocket is a basic curtain style with a sewn-in rod pocket at the top of each curtain panel.

To hang, you simply insert the rod pocket into the track.

Hooks are used to attach your curtains to the gliders. You need to first insert the hooks onto the curtains and then hang them on the tracks. Follow these steps:

  • First, insert one prong at a time in every other pocket, until all 4 prongs are inserted.
  • You can adjust the spacing between hooks by skipping the different number of pockets. The common skip pockets are 3 or 4 times.
